The typical interview scenario presents you with a very brief window of opportunity to discover whether the candidate before you is the perfect person to fill your vacancy.  That being said, even the most honest and trustworthy candidate will be trying to “tailor” their answers to your questions to show themselves in the best possible light.

The problem is that 30 minutes of impressive answers does not necessarily give an accurate impression of what the candidate is capable of on a day to day basis.
