Court rules length of service valid in redundancy selection

So much has been written about redundancy selection criteria.  Last week, the Court of Appeal, the UK's second highest court, ruled that length of service can be used as one of a range of determining factors in redundancy selections.

This ruling will be a relief to employers, many of whom use length of service as a criteria for redundancy.

The decision will clarify the fate of hundreds of Rolls Royce workers facing redundancy and set a precedent for other firms.  Read the full Times article.
